What happens after I have been referred, or signed up privately?

For a walkthrough of the assessment process for NHS Right to Choose patients, please have a look at this article.

If you've been referred or have self-referred for an ADHD assessment, you'll receive a welcome message from us inviting you to register on our client portal.

Once registered, you'll receive an invitation to complete your pre-assessment questionnaires and upload some important documents, such as photographic ID and your Summary Care Record.

📝 Pre-assessment questionnaires: Whether you are referred via your GP or you register as a private client, you'll need to complete some pre-assessment questionnaires via our client portal. This also includes some informant questionnaires which need to be completed be one or two people who know you well.

📤 Document upload: We'll need a copy of your photographic ID (i.e. a passport or driving licence) and your Summary Care Record (SCR), before we can book your assessment. If you've been referred by your GP, they should have included your SCR when they sent us your referral, so you wouldn't need to send this to us again. We'll let you know if for any reason your GP didn't share it with us.

📆 Assessment booking: Once you've completed these steps, we'll give you a call (usually within 7-14 days) and will agree a date and time for your assessment appointment. We have a large number of fantastic clinicians, which means we can usually book an assessment date within around 4 weeks (often sooner if your availability is flexible).

Assessments take place online via a video consultation. Please take a look at this article for more information on what to expect during your assessment, and to watch a video of a full assessment taking place.
