How Much Does a Repeat Prescription Cost?
At Care ADHD, we know that managing medication is an important part of your ADHD treatment journey. That’s why we’ve made our repeat prescription process as straightforward as possible.
A repeat prescription costs £20. This fee covers the time and expertise of our clinicians, who carefully review your request to ensure it’s safe and appropriate before issuing a prescription.
What Does the Fee Cover?
Every repeat prescription request goes through a clinical review process. Our prescribing clinicians don’t just sign off requests—they take the time to:
✅ Check your request – This includes reviewing the information you provide to make sure nothing has changed in your health that could affect your medication.
✅ Ensure safety – ADHD medications are controlled drugs, meaning we have a duty to make sure they are prescribed safely. If there’s anything that needs further discussion, we may get in touch before issuing your prescription.
✅ Write and issue the prescription – Once everything has been checked, your clinician will prepare and issue the prescription, ensuring it reaches your nominated pharmacy.
This process takes time and expertise, and the £20 fee helps cover the cost of the clinician’s review and the administrative work involved.
Why Do We Charge for Repeat Prescriptions?
Unlike the NHS, private healthcare operates differently. Our clinicians take the time to carefully review your request, ensuring your medication remains safe and effective for you. The fee supports the work behind the scenes that keeps our service running smoothly and ensures patient safety.
