Who we are: an introduction to the Centre for ADHD Research and Excellence (CARE ADHD) 

Welcome to the Centre for ADHD Research and Excellence (CARE ADHD). We’re a trusted provider of high-quality ADHD assessments and treatment services for adults in England. We’re regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and we hold contracts with the NHS to provide services free at the point of use, to NHS patients via the Right to Choose framework. 

We are a multi-disciplinary team of expert clinicians, former NHS Directors, and passionate innovators from the digital sector. Most importantly, we have people with lived experience of ADHD working at all levels of our organisation.   

Our Board operates under the watchful eye of our Chair, Professor Tim Kendall, who was the National Clinical Director for Mental Health at NHS England until 2024. Tim facilitated the first ever national clinical guideline for ADHD. 

Whether you are a private client or referred to us through the NHS, our mission is to support you on your journey to understanding and managing ADHD effectively. 

At CARE ADHD, we are dedicated to improving the lives of adults with ADHD by providing timely, evidence-based assessments, treatment, and ongoing support. We work to ensure that everyone who comes to us receives compassionate, personalised care tailored to their individual needs. 

We provide a range of services, including: 

• ADHD Assessments: Comprehensive evaluations conducted by experienced clinicians to confirm or rule out an ADHD diagnosis. 

• Titration and Medication Management: If medication is recommended as part of your treatment plan, we guide you through the titration process to find the right dosage and monitor your progress. 

• Non-pharmacological treatment: Our purpose-built mobile app, designed by experts, offers structured psychological interventions and coaching for ADHD. The coaching can be taken instead of, or in addition to, ADHD medication. 

• Support and Resources: In addition to medical care, we offer resources and guidance to help you understand ADHD and manage its impact on daily life. 

• Expertise: Our team comprises highly skilled healthcare professionals with extensive experience in ADHD diagnosis and treatment. 

• Regulated and Reliable: We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of safety and quality. 

• Convenient Access: We offer flexible online appointments, allowing you to access care wherever it’s most convenient for you.
