What to do in an emergency
Please note that we do not provide any emergency services. If you feel unwell due to your medication or require urgent medical assistance:
✋ Stop taking the medication immediately
ADHD medication can be discontinued abruptly without adverse effects and does not require tapering off, unlike some other medications.
📞 Get advice from NHS 111 (select the mental health option) or ask for an urgent GP appointment if:
You are not able to speak to your local NHS urgent mental health helpline.
You need help urgently for your mental health, but it's not an immediate emergency.
You're not sure what to do.
🩺 Visit your GP if you need support with your general health and wellbeing, or to access mental health services.
🚨 Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
Someone's life is at risk – for example, they have seriously injured or have taken an overdose
You do not feel you can keep yourself or someone else safe
Please discuss any adverse reactions or concerns you may have with your clinician at your next appointment.
