Our approach to ADHD treatment

Edited

At CARE ADHD, we provide expert, compassionate care to support adults with ADHD. Whether you are newly diagnosed or looking for ongoing treatment, our approach is centred around your individual needs. Regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we ensure that every aspect of our service meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

What to expect from our ADHD treatment pathway

Our ADHD treatment pathway is comprehensive and tailored to you, covering:

1. Assessment and diagnosis

Before starting treatment, you’ll need a confirmed ADHD diagnosis. If you haven’t already been assessed, we can assess you as a private client (£299) or via the NHS Right to Choose pathway (Free). For those already diagnosed, we’ll review your diagnosis report and medical history, and we’ll have a conversation with you about your goals to determine the best treatment options for you.

2. Personalised treatment plans

Our clinicians will work with you to create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. We offer two types of treatment: ADHD medication and non-pharmacological treatment via our purpose-built mobile app.

💊 The medication pathway includes:

  • Titration: Carefully introducing and adjusting medication to find the right type and dosage for you.

  • Ongoing Support: Monitoring and adjustments as needed to ensure your treatment remains effective.

See this article for full details of what to expect during titration.

📱 The CARE ADHD mobile app includes:

  • Daily bite-sized modules: Over a 12-week period, focus on 3 key areas each day to enhance your wellbeing:

    • Wellness Tasks: Simple, actionable steps to help you stay grounded and healthy.

    • Triggers: Insightful exercises to identify and manage your ADHD triggers effectively.

    • Daily Gratitude Journal: A space to reflect and cultivate a positive mindset.

  • Personal ADHD coaching, Monday to Friday, including:

    • 3 x 1-1 coaching appointments

    • Daily digital support to work through structured psychological interventions

    • Goals-based motivation and clinical outcome measurement

The charge for our mobile app and coaching package is £230. It can be funded privately or potentially via an Access to Work grant

3. Medication management

We offer both NHS-funded and private pathways for medication services. Whether you’re starting treatment or continuing an existing prescription, our team ensures safe, efficient management of your medication, including regular reviews.

We also accept referrals for people who have previously been assessed or gone through titration elsewhere.

4. Holistic care and guidance

In addition to medication, our clinicians provide advice and resources to help you manage ADHD in your daily life. This might include tips for improving organisation, managing time, and coping with challenges.

Why choose us?

  • CQC-Regulated Care: We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission to provide ADHD assessments and treatments for adults aged 18+ in England.
